A mobile home is a prefabricated structure, built in a factory on a permanently attached chassis before being transported to site. Also, it’s known as a dwelling structure built on a steel chassis and fitted with wheels that is intended to be hauled to a usually permanent site compared to a motorhome.
The Difference Between Mobile and Manufactured Homes.
The only difference between the two types of homes is the date they were built. According to HUD, a factory- built home prior to June 15, 1976, is a mobile home and one built after June 15, 1976, is a manufactured home.
